We used Smiley to put on a massive second story porch on our house. I would highly recommend them. They are professional, do great work, and work hard every day to get the job done on time. We now have had our porch for four years, and I’ve never had to call them back for anything. Positive attributes: Responsiveness, Punctuality, Quality, Professionalism, Value.

Smiley has been a topnotch company to work with. We have completed 3 different renovation projects with Smiley; an addition with renovations, a master bath, and a new deck. Smiley shows up when they say they will, their employees always go the extra mile, and their projects are completed on time.

After talking to almost a dozen general contractors, we decided to go with Daren and his team. And it was the best decision for us! He is responsive and honest, which are definitely two qualities that you want in a contractor.

My wife and I had an exceptionally good experience working with Smiley on a bump-out addition to our house. They designed and built us a new kitchen and second-story bedroom. We are delighted with the results. They finished the work on time, which given the challenges of working in D.C. was unexpected. The overall cost of the project was higher than we initially budgeted for, but there were no surprises, and we discussed everything with the designer and the GC from day one, which made a big difference. One of the things we were most happy about working with Smiley was how well our GC communicated with us throughout the project. We always felt we knew what was going on, and any changes to the schedule that had to be made. They listened and responded to our concerns. We would definitely recommend them.

We had a wonderful experience with Smiley Renovations. Daren provided a very clear and detailed estimate for our hallway bathroom renovation. We then worked with Marvin, who managed our project beautifully. He set clear expectations about communicating any concerns or problems we might encounter along the way and was always very responsive and professional. We were delighted to find (we hadn't realized) that our estimate included the help of a designer, Dawn, who helped us identify numerous creative and cost-effective solutions that helped us make the most of our limited space within budget. We are very happy with the results and highly recommend Smiley Renovations.

Over the last 10 years we have used Smiley for three different projects in two separate houses. They completely remodeled a kitchen in our old house, and created an open layout (knocked down a wall)  remodeled a kitchen, and remodeled two different bathrooms in our new house/ In all cases we have been extremely pleased with Smiley. They were reasonably priced, we really liked all of the workers (contractors/sub-contractors/project manager) that they used, and any concerns we ever had were addressed immediately. Furthermore, in all cases they kept to the anticipated timeline. Two thumbs up!
