The View Drove the Design

A retreat in the trees
These homeowners’ main priority was to take advantage of the beautiful view of their sloped wooded lot. The result is a luxurious and inviting indoor/outdoor space that meets the client’s practical needs and serves as a beautiful retreat in the trees. The three-season porch is the perfect place to unwind and connect.
The addition features a new basement exercise room that is 208 square feet, as well as a 4-season porch that is 405 square feet. It was designed in such a way that it blends seamlessly with the home's original exterior, but the use of windows gives it the look and feel of a modern treehouse.

Capturing the breeze & light on the three-season porch
Floor-to-ceiling retractable screen windows and three large skylights in the three-season porch ensure the interior space is flooded with natural light. The Easy Breeze screening system allows for floor-to-ceiling windows, which immerse the porch and, subsequently, the kitchen in light.

A gym with a view
A personalized exercise room enjoys the view, with sunlight coming in through large windows and a walkable skylight embedded in the deck.
