To remedy this, the only feasible option was an extension at the rear of the residence. Opting for a two-story expansion, the homeowners were able to incorporate an additional bedroom that seamlessly serves as both an office and a guest room.
Expertly designed to match the existing scale, the new kitchen, at 13' x 17', appears as if it has been part of the home from the beginning.

Dining in Style
In keeping with the character of this home, we introduced bespoke wainscoting to the dining room. This wood paneling not only safeguards the walls against the lively antics of children but also enhances the space, infusing it with an air of understated elegance.
Entryway Before & After
Lacking a dedicated entryway, our clients and their two small children were in need of a compact mudroom solution for storing shoes, coats, and backpacks. However, it was important to them that it didn't obstruct Mom's view from the kitchen into the dining area. To address this, we designed a custom cubby with baskets for storing shoes and toys and hooks for coats and bags. We chose a tile flooring that's easy to clean, making those inevitable muddy tracks a breeze to handle.
