From Concept Sketch to Reality

 
This project kicked off from a scenario every homeowner dreads. Just six months into their new home, our clients discovered the shower floor in their main bathroom had a suspicious give to it. Demolition revealed a long-standing leak that had wreaked havoc on the joists beneath. Compounded by Covid-related holdups and a contractor who seemed to vanish into thin air, our clients were left with a bathroom in ruins, effectively unusable for over a year and oddly featuring a direct view into the garage!

A Mix of Textures and Finishes

 
The homeowners now revel in the splendor of their bathroom, liberated from the worries of mold or the peril of an unintended descent into the garage. The steam shower, now impeccably waterproofed, offers an oasis of serenity. The chill of cold floors is banished by the warmth of underfoot heating, ensuring comfort with every step.  Privacy is ensured with a separate water closet, enhancing the bathroom's overall utility. The ingenious merger of two closets into one expansive space simplifies morning routines, streamlining the start of each day.

We explored a variety of floor plan options, aiming for the perfect harmony between functionality and aesthetics. Merging the two existing closets into a singular space allowed us to reposition the bathroom entrance to a more favorable location. This strategic move resulted in an elegant and balanced design, featuring a streamlined water closet, an expansive 8-foot vanity, a luxurious steam shower, and a serene soaking tub. The clever use of pocket doors further maximizes the available space.
